Skilled barista presented my favorite chocolate chai coffee. Bohemian atmosphere. Arrived at 10 AM on a Sunday and there were plenty of seats. After that the place was busy. We ate outside. It is located in residential neighborhood which makes one feel at home.Breakfast sandwich was delicious. Bohemian atmosphere, merch for sale. Will have to go back.

i was in SLC for work and wanted to find a cute cafe to grab a bite and work for an hour or so. this spot was so cozy and loved the decor! I ordered the pumpkin coven (iced) and the turkey pesto panini. both were delicious and reasonably priced. would def go back!

Lots of indoor seating to beat the heat. A great selection of pastries with a small menu of sandwiches. If you love furry friends, there seem to be quite a few folks who like this spot and brought their doggos along. It's service with a smile, there was plenty of banter while taking the order and a long list of syrups to sweeten your coffee should you chose to do so. The decor is exccentric, with some of it being works of art by local artists available for purchase. There is also a big community board near the restrooms with current events and locals available for hire. The coffee was great and the service was wonderful. I hope to return during my short trip!

OOh the food was so tasty and the coffee had the perfect amount of coffee and sweetness to it. A good study spot! I was a little thrown off by the Harry Potter sound track they played inside, but not necessarily a complaint. Staff were also super friendly :)

Alchemy on 17th has been a SLC staple for me for the last 12 years. I moved away to Denver 4 years ago and every time I visit SLC, I come here because it's just that good! There's local art on the walls, large plants and trees, cozy places to sit, great merchandise and other locally made items, amazing coffee, and delicious food. You haven't lived until you've had their muffins and I crave the sauce on their breakfast sandwiches. The staff is always really nice and cool and never pretentious. They always out the perfect amount of chocolate in my mocha and it's always properly mixed. 10/10 I will always recommend.

I love alchemy. I have been in another state for 9 years and was finally able to bisit SLC again. Al hemy was on my list of of MUST VISIT. After all these years it is still excellent. The service was out of this world; the server learned my name and remembered when I left.

The absolute best! The staff is amazing, caring, and personable. The coffee shop itself is always filled with new local artists’ art which is fascinating and keep the vibe more interesting. The food, drinks, and authentic plates/mugs, love their cold brew, chai, their seasonal craftsy drinks as bomb, and i love their turkey pesto panini! Also the baked good are bomb. The whole place is awesome, check it out!

I had never been to Alchemy Coffee. Never. What a mistake. The mocha was the best I ever had. And the basil " roll " was as suggested the best afternoon snack I could imagine. Through the door I was greeted with smiles and positive energy by both staff members. Then I just gawked and looked around at this amazing and wonderful welcoming environment. OMG...unreal . Bottom line. A very special treat for someone like me that appreciates and respects the novelty of this find. A new home for coffee along with reconnecting with my homeless artist friend Bobby.
